Taylor Swift has been a picture perfect model of self growth and change. The girl has changed her lifestyle, vibe, her entire life multiple times. She has embraced the real of each stage (let’s say “Era”) with the utmost self confidence.
Let’s work on normalizing this concept.
Normalize changing your appearance.
Normalize self expression.
Normalize brutal honesty.
Normalize boundaries.
Normalize changing your mind.
Normalize growth.
I’ve lived through my “Grind Era.” Worked three jobs. It was exhausting.
I’ve thrived through my “Life sucks, I need wine-Era.” This one coincides with my “Grind-Era.” When being overworked causes your coping mechanism to relax and unwind to always be drink alcohol. (To be clear: I enjoy drinking a glass of wine, but I also believe there needs to be a limit and there should be other clear de stressing activities).
I’ve plowed through my “So anxious I can’t leave the house-Era.” This one was an absolute blast. I could say so much on this topic that it could easily be its own discussion, but today I’ll stay short and sweet.
Now, I’m officially in my “Mom-Era.” While this is my defining quality of my day to day, it’s not everything: I’m also in my “Self Worth-Era,” “Kindness-Era,” “Confidence-Era.” Most importantly, I’m in my “Real-Era.” Overall, I’m working to be comfortable in my own skin.
So, what era are you in?
