Mama, you’re a creator ✨
Recently, I was able to catch up again with this utterly fantastic tattoo artist. She had done a tattoo for me (a deeply personal one) about a year prior and soon after I became pregnant with my second daughter. Because of the pregnancy, I was unable to get in for a touch-up session. Needless to say, we had so much to catch up on! We discussed my babies, my husband, the cabin, and an overall hectic life. After realizing that my life is super hectic, she asked “What do you do for yourself?”
Ugh, oh boy do I hate talking about hobbies. They’re the bane of my existence. I’ve discussed this with my family and we all seem to have the same problem: we can’t commit to one hobby. While this is a topic all on its own, it’s not today — so slide it on the back burner!
After some small talk and we were mostly caught up, I began showing her pictures of our cabin. It’s still fresh, so just talking about it is exciting. I scrolled to one photo with Louie. She asked about him, so I showed her his picture and then scrolled to show Winnie. She paused, smiled, and said “You’re a creator.”
I was shocked. It took me a moment to fully comprehend what she meant. Once I did, I had tears in my eyes. Not only had I created two beautiful girls, but my husband and I have created this beautiful life. We have a large, growing family, two fantastically loving (sometimes frustrating) dogs, and a stunning life.
Maybe my hobby game isn’t up to par (we will work on it!), but overall I’ve been able to do exactly what I’ve always wanted out of life. I’ve created this beautiful life.
Always remember: Mama, you’re a creator ✨
